Request:
Add filtering options to the calendar/planning view based on:
Location
Time of day
Context:
In daily operations, reservations, planning, and front desk staff usually need to know which activity is happening at which location. Since we mostly sell and manage activities, location-based filtering is useful.
However, many guest questions are based on time of day rather than location. For example, guests often walk in and ask:
What can I do tomorrow morning?
Do you have anything available any morning this week?
What activities are available in the afternoon?
Is there a course or guided dive available in the morning?
In these cases, it is easier to filter the calendar by time of day instead of checking each location separately.
Suggested functionality:
Add a filter that allows users to view activities by time of day, such as:
Morning
Afternoon
Evening
Full day, if relevant
When filtering by “morning,” the system should show all morning activities across all locations in one overview.
The location of each activity can still be shown through the location tag at the top of the activity block, as suggested in Attachment.
Goal:
Make it faster for planning, reservations, and front desk staff to answer guest questions and find available activities based on time of day.
Use case:
A guest walks into the front desk and asks what activities are available tomorrow morning. Instead of checking every location one by one, the staff member at the front desk can filter the calendar by “morning” and immediately see all morning activities across all locations.
Reservations team (in the office) and possibly also other front desk colleagues would still need the calendar view filtered by location, depending on what the use case is.
Ive made suggestions for the views in the attachment.
